Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. Her most famous role was that of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards to recognize Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played comprise Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student in Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio, where she continued her love of performing on stage. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a period in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater role for several years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna's first major role was Arden on Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. After guest appearances as a on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years in Deadwood's second season. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was also an integral an integral part of her professional acting career. Gunn is also a part of the stages in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn appeared in a series of audio-play podcast titled"Numbered Days.. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and the eventual end of their relationship similar to the arc that was Walter White's last years of life.
