Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also called Ashanti, was born on the 13th of October of 1980, at Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Ashanti was discovered as an 18-year-old and was became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. That same year, she made an appearance on Fat Joe's What's Luv? And Fat Joe's What's Lulv? The first female artist to have the first and second spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at the top spot and the track What's Luv? in second position. Tina Douglas was her mother and Ken Kaide Thomas Douglas had earlier had a voice. Kenashia Schia Douglas is her younger sister is older. Douglas has named her in honour of her mother, the Ashanti Empire in Ghana where women had power as well as influence. Douglas was hoping for Ashanti to model that same pattern. Ashanti released her first album, which was titled "Ashanti", in 2002 on Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration is Ashanti's forth studio album. It was released on Murder Inc. on June 3, 2008. On the 16th of October Hey Baby (After the Club) was released on the radio and online outlets. She was in the film Christmas in the City and played Latasha Montclair in Army Wives. Aitch has sampled Rock wit U in his Baby 10th March 2022.
